Library

Access

All Champlain Trail students have access to the library facilities each day. They are responsible for the checking out of their books on the computer system and the return of all materials within the 2 week borrowing period. Any overdue books result in the withdrawal of library privileges until the book(s) are returned or paid for. Please assist your child in the safe care of their books while at home.
If at any time you have questions or concerns around the library program or the circulation of books, please contact Mrs Ricchetti at the school.

Kindergarten students can visit the library each day with their Gr. 5 Library Helpers if they have returned their book and have their library bag with them. We encourage the students to return their books as soon as they have read them.

Book Fair

The yearly Book Fair in the library is held from
Wed. Nov. 8, 2006, 9a.m. - 7 p.m. until Thurs. Nov.9, 2006, 9a.m. - 3:30.
There will be books and gifts for all ages including preschool and adults. This is our annual fund raiser for the library and proceeds are used to buy books, videos etc for our school library. Bring friends, family and neighbours, and support our school.

Blue Spruce & Silver Birch

Over the past 5 years, Champlain Trail has participated in the Blue Spruce and Silver Birch reading programs.

Students in all the grades read the nominated titles of Canadian books and then they vote along with thousands of other students across Canada to pick the winning Canadian novel and Non-Fiction title. Participating in these programs requires the purchase of several copies of each of the nominated titles.

This project would not be possible without the much appreciated and generous financial support of our Parent Council.
